As you suggested, I think that the "LinkScanner" feature may be the culprit, but I got rid of the app completely.During our previoustesting I had only deactivated "ResidentShield" which didn't do I rebooted the laptop after the other three were clearly connected (and seeing the primary laptop without issue). The problem is that only a fraction of my library seems to show up.
