I checked on Windows 7 and there i can see the real Temp Size. this leads me to believe that maybe the system is reading the disk space incorrectly, as the 4.6GB of files was definately deleted. But from what you have seen, each incarnation may be counted toward the used space by explorer, even though there is really only space used by the single file. so ,Afterthat you see the file ( pagefile.sys ) , i think this file is taken about 5 to 10 GB . If so be prepared to wait 2 hours if it decides to do a full disk scan. The 60GB I'm supposedly using was actually around 75GB before I went through all of the above steps, but it still tells me I'm using twice as much disk space as Check This Out Also, not sure if this is relevant or not, but I had a whole lot of trouble running chkdsk today.
