For example, you may have formatted the drive with the ext4 file system from Linux or the HFS Plus file system from a Mac. I have installed the drive in another box think and now works just fine. Just what I was looking for. it was preformatted to FAT32 system.

Remeber data recovery can be very expensive depending on the scale of damage the HDD has suffered and the amount of data.b.
