All good :) gary oak test gary oak test. WMC fails since Microsoft doesn't think about logistics. It can't down load a program guide of upcoming shows and be programmed to record multiple TV shows at a time unattended like a DVR/PVR can. Next PVR as the backend server for TV and Kodi as the fontend client for an interface is much better. http://ocvninfo.net/can-t-get/can-t-get-ahci-to-work-windows-8.html
But, sorry, no one's gonna go 4 Xbox One even if given out free!!!!! Do you know if the new DVR software will include the use of OTA tuners from other manufacturers? TiVo remains a good choice for a user that values simplicity, records a lot of content from cable or over the air, and is satisfied with a few mainstream streaming choices.Other Maybe an optional add-on would work then?

I have two gaming laptops that run Windows 7 with a Windows 7 desktop media server DVR I use extensively for Windows Media Center cable TV recording and viewing using a
I have windows 8.1 and i am able to literally stream to my TV in about 3 clicks. That program specifically was largely the reason I stuck with Windows 7 on one of my systems.
About 3 days ago WMC stopped updating the guide listings on my system or at least I'm unable to. If I want to use reader, I have to unzip the files. I use a separate hard drive because the HD programs take up a lot of space. For the past two days though, it's been very hit or miss.
